The First Quarter Moon is a time to recommit ourselves to the intentions we set in motion during the New Moon. We are doubling-down and promising to take action on the things that we want to happen, the things that we are wanting to manifest. Sitting by and waiting on life isn’t going to get us to reach our goals. With this particular moon being in Sagittarius, our actions are energetic and purposeful. We are more open-minded and optimistic about our intentions. There is a willingness to put in the work that needs to be done. Whatever we started on the New Moon, gets a push forward on the First Quarter Moon.
Tonight, we are changing tracks with our original intentions. There are times when we know we are on the right path and other times when we know where we’re headed is not quite right. It could be a timing issue, it could be our heart isn’t in it, it could be that we have simply changed our minds. Whatever the reason, we reassess and commit to the new changes.
Look at your current list of intentions or goals and reevaluate each one. Are you still committed to reaching that goal? Have you aligned yourself with the purpose of your intention? If you don’t have a list, think about any current wishes or wants that have been on your mind lately. What drives those wants? Is it still something you should wish for?
Just because we are adjusting and reevaluating things doesn’t mean that we won’t reach our goals. Things may not be going the way we currently want them to but, that doesn’t mean that things are doomed. We need to give ourselves a break.
Tap into the open-minded and optimistic energy tonight and show yourself some love. Make a list of the things you love about yourself. What about you will allow you to reach your goals? It could be your organization skills or the fact that you wake up early every morning. Then think about three things that you are grateful for in your life. Maybe you love spending time alone to recharge or you have a hobby that makes you happy. We are always are own harshest critic and while there may be times where tough love is needed, right now isn’t one of them. Be kind to yourself. Believe in yourself.
By realigning our intentions and showing ourselves kindness, we are preparing for our next steps forward. We now focus on what needs to be done in order for us to reach our goals. What are three things that you can do this week to bring you closer to what you want? For example, start each morning with three affirmations to set the tone for the day. Once you have those three things, write an action you can currently take to go along with each intention on your list. For example, if one of your intentions is to increase or pay closer attention to your intuition, then an action would be to meditate this week for ten minutes every day.
